HEATING OIL - RELIABLE HEAT, INDEPENDENT AND FLEXIBLE

Low-sulphur heating oil

Low-sulphur heating oil is a DIN-standardised fuel with consistently reliable quality. The Petronord Group only sells low-sulphur heating oil according to DIN 51603-1 with a sulphur content of max. 0.005% by weight (equivalent to 50 ppm). This product can be used for all conventional heating systems.

Premium low sulphur heating oil

The high-quality premium low-sulphur heating oil is a product quality that far exceeds the requirements of the DIN standard.

Advantages of Premium low-sulphur heating oil include:

  • A combustion stabiliser ensures functionally reliable filters and nozzles. The risk of heating malfunctions is minimised.
  • Almost residue-free combustion reduces heating costs.
  • Special active substances against sediment formation reduce heating oil ageing and the formation of oil sludge. Disturbances in the heating operation are thus avoided.
  • The additional fragrance component provides protection against unpleasant odours during refuelling and against weather-related heating oil odours in cellar tanks.
  • Premium low-sulphur heating oil is suitable for all heating systems (e.g. also for rocket burners), has been tested and certified by TÜV and is recommended by well-known manufacturers. Premium heating oil is improved by additives, as you can read on the pages of the Wirtschaftsverband Fuels und Energie e.V..

Heating Oil Premium KlimaPlus

In addition to the advantages of Premium low-sulphur heating oil, this heating oil also offers a very special "plus": Premium KlimaPlus makes it possible to offset the CO2 emissions of heating oil consumption that cannot be avoided.

Burning heating oil produces carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming. The production of this gas during the combustion process cannot be physically avoided, but there is a way to offset its impact on the environment.

For example, the CO2 emitted by a heating system can be saved elsewhere by supporting a climate protection project. These savings are recorded in climate protection certificates. In the case of Heating Oil Premium KlimaPlus, certificates are purchased according to the amount of heating oil consumed and their cancellation is arranged so that they cannot be used again. The revenue from the purchase of the certificates benefits a climate protection project certified according to the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) of the United Nations and also according to the even stricter voluntary Gold Standard.

Both the correct CO2 balancing and the corresponding neutral position of Premium KlimaPlus are regularly checked by TÜV Rheinland and are guaranteed by the certification.
