Responsible governance in all business areas

Ecological and social responsibility – HSSE

Long-term success and constant solid growth are characteristics that distinguish the actions of the MB Energy Last Mile Group. Regardless of the respective focus of the business activities, the associated companies are always aware of their corporate responsibility in their daily actions.

Thus, processes and activities that ensure health, occupational safety, security, and environmental protection are always in focus. The common abbreviation HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, Environment) defines both the corresponding goals and the actions required to achieve them.

The MB Energy Last Mile Group's HSSE objectives are simple and clearly defined:

ZERO accidents

ZERO personal injuries

ZERO environmental damage

To achieve these goals, the following principles are responsibly and attentively pursued under the MB Energy Last Mile umbrella:

  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  •  Application of appropriate standards - in the absence of a corresponding legal regulation
  • Systematic HSSE management with clear definition of responsibilities and communication channels
  • Reporting on HSSE performance - including analysis and corresponding development of new measures
  • Respectful use of environmental resources and promotion of environmental awareness
  • Creating a safe and healthy working environment

Corporate responsibility – compliance

MB Energy Last Mile’s corporate management is characterized by transparency, ethical principles, and lawful conduct. In the MB Energy Group, of which MB Energy Last Mile is also a member, guidelines and instruments fall under the umbrella of compliance to ensure these principles and responsible behaviour. The focus is on preventing corruption, bribery and fraud, the topics competition law and sanctions as well as misconduct towards employees.

To provide employees with guidance on how to behave in the context of their work for MB Energy Last Mile, the company group has a code of conduct with 16 principles. They are based on shared values and the corporate philosophy of the group of companies. The code is designed to ensure compliance with both legal regulations and binding company guidelines. If the Code of Conduct or internal guidelines are ignored, employees and business partners can report suspected misconduct easily and anonymously by using the group-wide online reporting system CARE (Concerns And REporting).

Supply Chain Due Diligence Act – LkSG

We see the German law on supply chain due diligence, which came into force in 2024, not only as a binding legal obligation, but also as an obvious minimum standard in terms of our responsibility towards employees, customers and suppliers. Accordingly, MB Energy Last Mile, as a subsidiary of MB Energy GmbH & Co. KG applies to the Declaration of Principles adopted for the MB Energy Group, which provides a comprehensive insight into the principles and standards.
